I totally adore that version of Pirates. I have a wonky video tape of it, and also the LP (around here somewhere).
My daughter loved it too, but she was of an age to love, with equal fervor, a totally GHASTLY sort of bastard child version of it called The Pirate Movie with (I think) Kristy McNicoll. Just really, really, really BAD. But she had a crush on the young male lead, so BAD was not at all an issue. :)
