Dunking - reprise

I volunteered for the dunking booth again at the town Labor Day
Observances.

The dunking was fine.  Clambering out (I wore jacket and
tie ;<)  ) was hard work.  First few times were OK, but it got old
fast.  Made it through the half hour, though.  I think my contribution
was more secondary.  I had done this last year, and this year the
booth folks (local ambulance volunteers) went looking for other
victims, and got the Norwich Commandant and the town Police Chief, the
latter in uniform.  He was their biggest money maker.  The Commandant
did pretty well, too.

No action pix this year, yet

Clambering out.

More?

At least you had good weather for it?

Oh, yes, excellent weather, and they warmed the water. For me, at least. Last year the weather was cool and I was glad for the extra duds; this year they just weighed me down getting out.

Next year, you should rent a police uniform so you can regain your lost popularity.

Ah. I have, perhaps, sufficiently fulfilled the role of judas goat and can retire next year.

You're a good sport!

Any chance of making Denvention?

Thank you! Devention is unlikely - I have potential family scheduling conflicts, so cannot make prior arrangements.

Some day.

Maybe the one in Montreal.
